I would have read the book Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome around 1976 or 77 when I was in my last year of school. It was thanks to our English teacher who suggested this book that time. It was no doubt very hilarious and enjoyable reading. I remember that I was surprised then when I realised that this was a very old book and was published originally in 1889 in England.

I was even more surprised to find that when I bought this book again in 2009 to read it out to our son, he found it very hilarious and enjoyable. That is a true classic. Has withstood the test of time - so many generations would have enjoyed this book.
