Stumbled upon this beautifully executed bronze monument of Battle of Britain (WWII) on the Thames riverfront. The monument was conceived by Bill Bond, founder of the Battle of Britain Historical Society and sculpted by Paul Day.
The casting was done by Morris Singer, which is the oldest established fine art foundry in the world. This picture, which is part of the monument, shows airmen scrambling for their aircraft during the battle. (London, 2017)
