It was by chance that we happened to be in Kaza (in Spiti, Himachal Pradesh) on Buddh Poornima Day. Learnt that this is a big day here in this region and the celebrations at the monastery should not be missed. Landed up at the monastery early, had a good look around, chatted with few monks there as everyone was getting ready for the big event.

There was a large turnout of people from nearby villages who had come over with great enthusiasm to witness the celebrations. Traditional dances performed by various troupes with their full colourful gear were quite a visual treat.
